What this consultation is
This puppy advisory consultation is designed for owners who want to make the right choices before problems start.
It is particularly valuable if you are:
- Choosing a breed or line for the first time
- Considering a working, high-drive, or specialist breed
- Unsure about breeders, selection, or early puppy management
The consultation is delivered over two 45-minutes online sessions, with preparation in between.
How it works:
Session 1: Breed choice & direction
Before the first session, you complete a short questionnaire to clarify your lifestyle, experience, and expectations. During the first call, we will:
- Discuss your goals, environment, and constraints
- Review breed types and lines relevant to your situation
- Identify potential mismatches early
- Discuss breeder selection, red flags, and puppy selection criteria
This session focuses on decision-making and direction.
Session 2: Puppy plan & first weeks
- Between sessions, you carry out breeder research and share details for review.
- During the second call, we will: Review breeders or litters you are considering
- Discuss puppy selection within a litter (where applicable)
- Build a clear plan for the first weeks and months
- Cover early routines, boundaries, socialisation, and handling
You will also receive a Puppy Start Guide, adapted where relevant to your puppy type.
This plan is designed to reduce mistakes, not overwhelm you.
